With the support of our community, our people, and special folks that have consistently showed love and support for the movement, THE PRODIGIES ARE GOING TO DC to compete in biggest and most prestigious youth poetry and rap competition IN THE WORLD @bravenewvoices

A year ago this was just a dream. We spoke at city council, wrote grants, knocked down doors, and networked relentlessly to fund this once in a life time opportunity. Today we are proud to say that with tenacity, trust in ourselves, and no shortage of ganas we are headed to DC!

Very special thank you to the staff at @youthspeaks for helping us find donors, to Michelle and Beulah from Pittsburg Ace Hardware, to everyone that donated or purchased merchandise, and most of all to OUR ARTISTS for forever showing the world that PITTSBURG got the sauce, and that what we bring to the stage is unmatched in the world.

This past year was the biggest yet for our artist community here in the P: private performances at Pixar studios, countless open mics and slams around the bay, founding a nonprofit, traveling to UW Madison, hosting our first IMS Cypher, the 2nd Annual Prodigies Grand Slam, and so much more. But we are just warming up! Please help us raise travel funds to attend the biggest youth poetry festival in the world, Brave New Voices in Washington D.C July 2024! This festival brings together high school age artists from around the world to connect, create, and compete in the most prestigious youth poetry slam anywhere.
